A bench is for resting. To stop. To look at all the wonders around you, to tie a shoe, to stay awhile. This bench is not made of metal. It is not cold, but inviting. Come sit and stay awhile. So they did. This is thier place. The place where they come to escape the frustrations of the world and immerse themselves in the amazing beauty we often overlook. The place where they talk about God, and adventures, and all of their plans. As they peek over the edge to find what lies below, the running waters rage. Up here, they have no fears. Just each other. On this bench. No cares. No time. No worries. They hold each other as the fiery sun sets beneath the cold earth. Admiring the reflection of the stars in each others eyes; they fall in love. On this bench, they fall and fall again. They still come to this bench. They sit and talk about God and life and love. Nobody can hear them. Only the trees. This bench has held many, but none quite like these. It was the bench made for them. It was the bench made for two.
